Comic Buyer's Gude: awards chosen by CBG readers and published on website in ten different categories
Glyph: for best in graphic novels made for, by, and about people of color
Harvey Award: for outstanding work in comics and sequential art (includes over 20 categories), awarded at Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art Festival Weekend
Ignatz: for excellence in comics awarded by a five member panel of artists and voted on by members of SPX (emphasizes the smaller presses)
Japan Media Arts Festival Manga: a highly esteemed award in
Japan “for excellence in Manga”
Kodansha Manga: a four category award (including children’s, shojo, shonen, and general manga) given to Kodansha publishers
National Cartoonists Society: oldest American cartoon awards which emphasize more traditional newspaper comics, chosen by NCS members
Shogakukan Manga: same as Kondansha award, but for Shogakukan publishers
Tezuka Osamu Bunka-sho (Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize): award for manga published the year prior in Japan, nominations made by the public
Will Eisner Comics Industry: the most esteemed award in the comic industry, over 24 categories are awarded each year at Comic-Con International in San Diego
YALSA Great Graphic Novels for Teens: a booklist issued each January by The Young Adult Library Association with input from both school and public librarians
